Holy month of Ramadan starts on Sunday, April 3, 2022

The holy Islamic month of Ramadan will start on Sunday, April 3, the Grand Mufti of the Bangsamoro announced on Friday.

Sheikh Abu Huraira Udasan, who's also the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta' Executive Director, made the announcement after the traditional moon-sighting activity was performed.

“Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta' Executive Director and Grand Mufti of the Bangsamoro, Sheikh Abu Huraira Udasan, has officially announced that the first day of fasting for the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1443H will be on Sunday, April 03,” the Bangsamoro said on Facebook

The holy Islamic month calls for spiritual reflection through praying, fasting, and abstaining from sinful behavior.

The month of Ramadan ends with the Eid'l Fitr holiday. —NB, GMA News
