Malacanang said the house-to-house vaccination pitched by President Rodrigo Duterte will depend on the outcome of the study of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.

"The government is still studying. Whether it will push through or not will depend on the outcome of the study," acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said in a text message.

"It was an idea that PRRD (Duterte) strongly wanted DOH (Department of Health) to consider to solve this unused vaccine problem, and to have the unvaccinated vaccinated," he added.

In his weekly briefing Tuesday, Duterte said he wants the Department of Health to conduct a house-to-house anti-COVID-19 vaccination, particularly in the countryside amid the expected expiration

of millions of vaccine doses in the next few months.

“The vaccines are here and ready to be utilized, just in case. A good number ng mga Filipinos remaining, refusing to be vaccinated. Wala na tayong magawa (We can do nothing about it)," Duterte had said.

"The most we can do, last minute program, is we embark on a program i-deliver natin ang vaccines sa bahay-bahay sa bukid (let’s deliver the vaccines house to house in fields),” he added.
