Leni urges supporters to keep up H2H campaign as election day nears

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday urged supporters to keep up their house-to-house campaigning for her and running mate Senator Francis Pangilinan, with 13 days to go before election day on May 9.

“Thirteen days na lang. Sipagan natin yung house-to-house, yung lagi nating sinasabi na ‘tao sa tao, puso sa puso’. Lakasan ng loob sa pagkatok. Kung mayroong hindi natin kasama, buksan lang ang mga puso, habaan ang pasensya at magkumbinsi sa tamang paraan,” she said in a video live-streamed on her Facebook page.

(There are only 13 days left to the campaign. Let’s continue to court voters through the house-to-house campaign. Like what we always say, ‘human to human, heart to heart.’ Let’s be courageous to knock. And if someone is not with us, let’s have more patience and convince them in the right way.)

She also updated her supporters on her schedule for the last week of the rigorous 90-day election campaign, including May 7 being the likely date for the miting de avance, or final rally, of her campaign.

“Hindi pa namin nafa-finalize yung dulo pero malamang yung miting de avance dito sa NCR [National Capital Region]  sa May 7,” she said.

(We have not yet finalized the last leg but the miting de avance will most likely happen here in NCR on May 7.)

Robredo added that on May 6, she is scheduled to be in the Bicol region for more grand rallies.

“Looking forward kami to see all of you in all the rallies,” she added.
