DOH logs 175 new COVID-19 cases; active tally falls to 4,305

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 175 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the country's active count to 4,305, the lowest so far this year.

The new cases also raised the country’s caseload to 3,686,868, according to the DOH’s latest data.

The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 1,046 followed by Region IV-A with 325 and Region III with 236.

The DOH also logged zero new deaths in the past three days.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,622,124 patients recovered from the viral disease.

The country’s bed occupancy rate was at 16%, with 5,035 beds occupied and 26,435 vacant as of May 5.

A total of 17,487 individuals were tested, with 310 testing labs submitting data on May 6. —VBL, GMA News
