PPCRV receives 48.31% of election returns

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) received at least 48.31% of election returns for their parallel count in this year’s elections, according to Mav Gonzales’ “24 Oras Weekend” report on Saturday.

As of 10:30 a.m., 52,066 out of 107,785 election returns were received by the PPCRV. These came from North and South Luzon (34,857), the National Capital Region (10,033), the Visayas (5,778), and Mindanao (1,398).

It has yet to receive election returns from overseas.

The poll watchdog earlier reported a 100% match between the 16,820 election returns it had processed and the tally in the transparency media server for the 2022 elections.

“Comelec (Commission on Elections) stops transmission at 98.35% so there is a percentage that have not yet transmitted. But even though those VCMs have not yet transmitted we already have the physical pre-transmission election returns and that is 203,” PPCRV spokesperson Van dela Cruz said.

The Comelec on Friday wrapped up the operations of the transparency media server at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila as there was no expected transmission from vote counting machines except for the results of the special elections in Lanao del Sur. —Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
