P86-M One COVID-19 allowance released since January 2022


More than P86.5 million has been released under the One COVID-19 Allowance (OCA), the Department of Health (DOH) announced Wednesday.

In a statement, the DOH said a total of P86,507,118 has been released to 54 health facilities since January 2022 while P403,492,881 has been allocated to 266 health facilities.

"[H]owever, it is pending and for issuance of check due to lack of submitted documents, especially the signed Memorandum of Agreement and liquidation report from the previously transferred funds to the health facility," the DOH said.

Under the OCA, those classified to be high risk will be given P9,000 per month, those at moderate risk will receive P6,000, and those at low risk will be given P3,000.

Meanwhile, the DOH said the distribution of the Special Risk Allowance (SRA) and the Meal, Accommodation, and Transportation (MAT) Allowance is ongoing.

The DOH said more than P639.9 million has been issued to 234 health facilities for the SRA since February 2022, over P581.3 million has been claimed by 218 facilities, and P58.6 million remains unclaimed.

For the MAT, over P80.7 million has been issued to 47 health facilities, P76.6 million has been claimed, while P4.1 million remains unclaimed.

According to the DOH, more than P180,000 has meanwhile been released to 12 heath workers as COVID-19 sickness and death compensation.—AOL, GMA News
