DOH posts 133 new COVID-19 infections; active tally falls to 2,415

The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday registered 133 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,690,581.

According to the DOH’s latest figures, the country’s active case tally also dropped from 2,448 on Monday to 2,415 on Tuesday.

Among the top regions in the recent two weeks are the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,043 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 388 and Central Luzon with 257.

The Health department also recorded a total of 3,627,711 individuals recovered from the viral disease.

No new deaths were recorded, with the Philippines’ death tally remaining at 60,455.

The DOH said at least 5,134 beds were occupied, while 25,825 were vacant as the bed occupancy in the country stood at 16.6%.

It also reported a total of 16,908 individuals were tested, while 321 testing labs submitted data as of May 30. — BM, GMA News
