DOH records 182 new COVID-19 cases; active tally increases to 2,334

The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday recorded 182 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,690,889.

The country’s active case tally slightly increased to 2,334 from 2,320 on Wednesday, according to the DOH’s latest figures.

Among the top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,044, followed by Calabarzon with 394 and Central Luzon with 248.

The DOH reported a total of 3,628,100 patients recovered from the viral disease.

Meanwhile, the Philippines’ death tally remained at 60,455 with no new deaths recorded.

The bed occupancy in the country also increased to 17.2% from the earlier 17% with 5,257 beds occupied, while 25,319 vacant.

The Health department also reported a total of 18,998 individuals were tested, while 323 testing labs submitted data as of June 1. — Richa Noriega/BM, GMA News
