287 new COVID-19 cases bring PH active tally to 2,697

The Philippines on Friday logged 287 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 3,692,617.

Based on the DOH’s latest data, the country's active case count increased to 2,697 from 2,529 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, total recoveries was reported at 3,629,459 while the death toll was at 60,461.

The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,292, followed by Calabarzon with 373, Central Luzon with 226, Western Visayas with 168, and Central Visayas with 107.

The latest data showed 18,300 individuals were tested, while 323 testing laboratories submitted data as of Thursday, June 9.

Meanwhile, the bed occupancy is at 17.6% with 5,395 occupied and 25,179 vacant.—LDF, GMA News
