The Office of Vice President (OVP) Leni Robredo will conduct a final general assembly on June 27, days before she steps down from office, in which Vice President-elect Sara Duterte has been invited to attend.

In Robredo’s weekly radio program on Sunday, her spokesperson Atty. Barry Gutierrez said the assembly might be held at the Quezon City Reception House, which is the current headquarters of the OVP.

“Sa [June] 27, magkakaroon ng general assembly ng Office of the Vice President — huling general assembly sa pamumuno ni VP Leni. Sa aking pagkakaalam, nag-extend na ng imbitasyon kay VP-elect Sara na mag-attend kung kanyang gugustuhin,” he said.

Gutierrez said there had already been meetings with Robredo and Duterte’s staff, but both the outgoing and incoming Vice Presidents have not yet discussed the transition plans in person.

“Maayos naman ang koordinasyon, maayos naman ang pag-uusap. Smooth naman ang ating nagiging transition at ‘yan naman ang ating talagang pakay dito sa puntong ito. Handang-handa na [kami] sa pagpapalit ng pamumuno sa noon ng June 30,” he added.

Earlier in the month, Robredo personally met with Duterte's representatives for transition talks. She gave them a tour during their visit to the OVP in Quezon City, and said she was ready to provide assistance and guidance to ensure a smooth transition to the next administration.

Duterte is set to have her inauguration on Sunday afternoon at the San Pedro Square in Davao City.
