Over P1.7 billion worth of shabu seized; 2 Chinese nationals, Filipino arrested

Authorities seized over P1.768 billion worth of suspected shabu and arrested two Chinese nationals and one Filipino in three separate operations in Cavite, Quezon City, and Pangasinan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday.

In a statement, the PNP said police operatives confiscated 220 kilograms of illegal drugs with an estimated value of P1.496 billion in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

In the operation, authorities arrested a suspect identified as 41-year-old Hai Lin along Molino Paliparan Road in Barangay Salawag at around 11:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, about P272 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust sting along Maria Clara Street, Barangay Lourdes in Quezon City at 10:30 a.m.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Jia Cai Zhu.

At least 40 kilos of alleged illegal drugs were seized during the Quezon City arrest.

The two Chinese nationals were nabbed on Sunday, July 3. They are now in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

In Pangasinan, a drug suspect was arrested for alleged possession of about 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000.

Jomar Malbog Narvaja, 32, was nabbed at a border control checkpoint in Barangay Cal-litang Sta. Maria on Monday.

Narvaja is now under the custody of the Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station, according to PNP. — DVM, GMA News
