Cops seize over P106-M shabu; nab 2 Chinese, 3 Pinoys in separate ops

Authorities have seized over P106 million worth of suspected shabu, and arrested two Chinese and three Filipinos in three separate operations in Manila, Caloocan, and Bacolod Cities, the Philippine National Police said Thursday.

In a statement, PNP said police operatives confiscated in Malate, Manila 15 kilograms of illegal drugs with an estimated value of P102 million.

In the operation, authorities arrested suspects identified as 42-year-old Bin Hu and 40-year-old Jiankang Liang at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Bay Terminal Parking Lot, Barangay 720.

Meanwhile, about 1.36 million worth of suspected shabu and P168,000 in Kush dried leaves were seized in a buy-bust sting Barangay 54, Caloocan City.

The suspects were identified as 31-year-old Emmanuel Joseph Bendal and 41-year-old Jess Noriega.

During the operation, police operatives also recovered a Caliber .45 pistol with two magazines loaded with 14 live ammunitions.

In Bacolod City, Christine Dacumos, 32, was arrested for alleged possession of about 415 grams of shabu worth P2,822,000.

Dacumos was tagged as a high-value individual for her illegal drug activities. —LBG, GMA News
