Marine forces from the Philippines and the United States are set to conduct the second part of their bilateral training under the Marine Aviation Support Activity 2022 (MASA 22) from July 18 to July 22 this year.

In a statement on Sunday, the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) said the training between them and the US Marine Corps (USMC) will be held in Zambales and Taguig City.

PMC acting commandant Brigadier General Raul Jesus Caldez, who is also the Exercise Director of MASA 2022, said that “everything is set” for the bilateral exercise.

Their activities will include helicopter rope suspension training and aeromedical evacuation training.

MASA 2022 assistant training director Colonel Gregorio Hernandez, Jr. is tasked to supervise the event and direct the demonstration of PMC’s aviation capabilities.

The first part of the MASA 2022, which enhanced the interoperability and aviation-related capabilities of PMC and USMC, was held from June 6 to June 17, 2022 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. —LBG, GMA News
