P200M ready for LGUs hit hard by magnitude 7 quake — NDRRMC
By JAMIL SANTOS,GMA NewsAt least P200 million worth of quick response funds is available for assistance to local government units that were affected by the magnitude 7 quake that jolted Abra on Wednesday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
"Usec. (Jose) Faustino confirms the [availability] of NDRRMC's P200-M quick response fund for use in case [affected] LGUs would require support," the NDRRMC said in a message.
Interviewed on Dobol B TV, NDRRMC spokesperson Mark Timbal said Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez met with Department of National Defense officer-in-charge and NDRRMC chairperson Jose Faustino Jr. and other government officials to discuss the earthquake operations in Abra province.
Timbal added that no tsunami alert was issued, as the quake struck land mass near Tayum, Abra at 8:43 a.m.

Cordillera Administrative Region:
• No reported aftershocks, continuous monitoring and assessment
• With landslide incidents reported in Benguet

• Casualty - 1 dead in La Trinidad, Benguet (for coordination)
• No damage to dams
• Ongoing coordination with PMA for damage
