Marcos names Monalisa Dimalanta as new ERC chair

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Atty. Monalisa Dimalanta as chairperson of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles confirmed this to reporters on Friday.

Dimalanta, who will replace Agnes Devanadera, is an alumna of the University of the Philippines and served as former chief legal counsel and compliance officer of the Aboitiz Power Corporation.

Cruz-Angeles also said Dimalanta served as chairperson of the National Renewable Energy Board (NREB). — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
