US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson tests positive for COVID-19

US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson announced on Friday that she is in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

On her Twitter post, Carlson said she only experienced mild symptoms.

“It was bound to happen sometime...Kind of amazing I made it 2.5 years. Isolating at home with only mild symptoms. So glad to be vaccinated and boosted with the safe and effective Pfizer vaccine. Looking forward to recovering and experiencing more of the Philippines!” Carlson said.
