Press Secretary Cruz-Angeles tests positive for COVID-19

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles has tested positive for COVID-19.

“Kahapon nagpa-COVID swab test ako, RT-PCR at lumabas ang resulta kaninang umaga. Ako po ay positive for COVID,” Cruz-Angeles said in a Facebook Live on Monday.

(I had a swab test yesterday and the result came out this morning. I tested positive for COVID.)

“Kung kaya’t sa bahay muna ako magtatrabaho habang ako ay naka-isolation,” she added.

(I will stay at home and work while in isolation.)

Cruz-Angeles said she is asymptomatic. Asked if she had contact with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., she said: "The President is fine."

The Press Secretary also urged the public to get vaccinated and avail of booster shots to get additional protection against coronavirus.

“Kukunin ko na rin po itong pagkakataon na maghikayat na magpabakuna tayong lahat at magpa-booster,” Cruz Angeles said.
