KWF forming panel to review books tagged as ‘subversive’

The Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) is forming an ad hoc review committee to analyze the contents of five books which the commission has described as “subversive”.

According to a report on “24 Oras", KWF Chief Arthur Cassanova said the review panel will be joined by writers,  representatives of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), and KWF commissioners.

It is expected to be completed before the end of the month.

Several groups and lawmakers previously called for the junking of a KWF memorandum prohibiting the publication and distribution of several books for supposedly being “political, subversive and with ideologies that can be considered anti-government”. —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA News
