3,715 new COVID-19 infections logged, active cases down to 36,146
By RICHA NORIEGA,GMA NewsThe Philippines on Saturday reported 3,715 new COVID-19 infections while active cases dropped to 36,146, according to data from the Department of Health.
The new cases brought the nationwide caseload to 3,852,170. Active cases decreased by 1,079 from 37,225 on Friday.

In the last two weeks, the regions with the most cases were the National Capital Region with 14,206, followed by Calabarzon with 8,641, Central Luzon with 4,842, Western Visayas with 2,572, and the Cagayan Valley with 2,177.
The DOH also recorded 4,753 new recoveries, bringing the recovery tally to 3,754,716.
Forty-seven new fatalities pushed the death toll to 61,308.
The country's bed occupancy rate was 30.2% as of Friday: 8,707 beds were occupied, while 20,156 remained unoccupied.
A total of 22,051 individuals were tested on Friday, while 320 testing laboratories submitted data. —VBL, GMA News
