Fire hits part of SSS main building in Quezon City

Fire broke out at the Social Security System (SSS) main office building along East Avenue in Quezon City before dawn Sunday.

Luisito Santos reported on Super Radyo dzBB that the fire hit a part of the SSS data center at the ground floor of the main building at about 2:05 a.m., and that firefighters declared a fire-out call at about 5 a.m.

The fire only reached the first alarm, the report added.

Arson investigators were quoted as saying that the fire started in the electrical room of the data center.

Fire investigators are still checking if some rooms were affected by the incident. —LBG, GMA News
