Marcos appoints Tansingco immigration commissioner

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Atty. Norman Tansingco as the commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said on Monday.

“We confirm the appointment of Atty. Norman Garcera Tansingco as Commissioner, Bureau of Immgration, Department of Justice,” Cruz-Angeles said.

The confirmation came weeks after news reports came out that a certain individual had been appointed commissioner of the BI.

The National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police were also tasked to investigate the alleged forgery which made it appear that Marcos signed the disavowed appointment. —NB, GMA News
