DOH logs 1,196 new COVID-19 cases, active tally at 25,039

The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday logged 1,196 new COVID-19 infections across the country even as the active tally went down to 25,039.

The new cases pushed the total caseload to 3,986,028, while active cases dropped from 25,848 reported on Monday.

 
The top regions with the most cases in the last two weeks were the National Capital Region with 9,601, followed by Calabarzon with 4,944, Central Luzon with 2,666, Davao Region with 1,447, and Western Visayas with 1,308.
 
A total of 1,988 patients defeated the viral disease, bringing the recovery tally to 3,897,408.
 
The death toll rose to 63,581 with 34 new fatalities.
 
There were 14,585 individuals tested for the coronavirus on Monday, while 341 testing laboratories submitted data.
 
As of Monday, the bed occupancy rate in the country was 26.8%, with 7,667 occupied and 20,965 vacant beds. — VBL, GMA News
