OCTA: NCR COVID-19 positivity rate dips to 12.3%

The seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) further decreased to 12.3% from the previous 14.9%, independent monitoring group OCTA Research reported Monday.

OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David said that NCR’s positivity rate — or the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested — went down from 14.9% on October 15 to 12.3% on October 22.

Seven areas in the country, however, showed a “high level” increase in positivity rate during the same period. These are Cagayan, Iloilo, Isabela, La Union, Misamis Oriental, Pangasinan, and Tarlac.
