OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David said that NCR’s positivity rate — or the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested — decreased to 10% on October 29, from 12.3% on October 22.

Likewise, positivity rates in other areas like Aklan, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Davao del Sur, La Union, Laguna, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Rizal, South Cotabato, Tarlac, and Zambales also went down.

Six areas in the country, however, showed an increase in positivity rates from October 22 to October 29. These are Benguet, Cebu, Iloilo, Isabela, Misamis Oriental, Negros Occidental.
