Marcos meets with Cambodian PM Hun Sen at ASEAN summit

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Thursday evening met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Phnom Penh.

The two leaders met at the Peace Palace in the Cambodian capital, which is hosting the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits and Related Summits from November 10 to 13.

According to the Office of the Press Secretary, at the meeting Marcos expressed  hopes for ASEAN unity and world peace. The two leaders also agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia in the spheres of finance, agriculture, geopolitics, and digitalization.

Earlier, Marcos met with Cambodian business leaders, to whom he pitched the opportunity to invest in the Philippines. — BM, GMA Integrated News
