Marcos, First Lady join leaders at APEC Gala Dinner

BANGKOK — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and the First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos attended a gala dinner as part of the events of this year’s Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’s Meeting.

Hosted by Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, Marcos attended the gala dinner dressed in a barong, while his wife was dressed in a Filipiniana butterfly sleeve dress.

“At the gala, economic leaders from the Asia-Pacific region were treated with the best of Thai culture and cuisine,” the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) said in a statement.

The gala was also attended by leaders of other APEC members which include Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.

Marcos arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday evening, where he is set to have at least six bilateral meetings. —NB, GMA Integrated News
