Philippines records 695 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines recorded 695 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

Based on the latest DOH bulletin, this increased the country’s overall tally to 4,027,469 even as the number of active cases went down to 17,550. 
 

The total number of recoveries climbed to 3,945,419, while the death toll rose to 64,500.

Metro Manila remained the region with the highest number of new infections in the last 14 days, with 3,402. It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,981; Western Visayas with 1,472; Central Luzon with 1,132; and Central Visayas with 1,096.
 
A total of 11,399 individuals were tested for COVID-19 on Monday, November 21, and 338 testing laboratories submitted their results. 
 
The country’s bed occupancy rate was 22.3% as of Sunday, with 6,313 of the total 28,251 beds occupied and 21,938 vacant. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
