Marcos names Isidro Purisima as acting Presidential Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity adviser

Malacañang on Tuesday announced the latest appointments in various Executive departments, including an acting presidential adviser on peace.

In a statement, the Palace said Isidro Purisima has been named acting Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity. He will be acting head of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), formerly Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process.

Purisima will succeed Carlito Galvez Jr., who was recently appointed as the secretary of the Department of National Defense

Prior to his appointment, Purisima was the presidential assistant for Local Conflict Transformation and Peace Sustainability at OPAPRU.

Other appointees include the following:

• Wilben Mayor - Presidential Assistant 1 for the OPAPRU
• Valerie Joy Brion - Executive Director 5 for Commission on Filipinos Overseas

• Domingo Bartolome Gonzaga- Director II of National Meat Inspection Service
• Julieta Opulencia - Deputy Executive Director 3 of Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries
• Senando Santiago - Acting GM and CEO and member, board of directors of Laguna Lake Development Authority
• Virginia Oroco - Acting member representing agrarian reform beneficiaries of the board of directors of Landbank of the Philippines
• Emerico De Guzman - Member representing the employer sector of National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council
• Flora Bonales - Director 4, Department of Trade and Industry
