OCD: PH humanitarian team returning home from Turkey

The Office of Civil Defense said Saturday that all 82 members of the Philippine inter-agency humanitarian contingent deployed to Turkey are in good health, and are set to return to the country on March 1.

Citing information from the OCD, Super Radyo dzBB's Mark Makalalad reported that on the last day of its two-week mission, the team completed the search and rescue operation in the 36 damaged or collapsed infrastructures, retrieving six bodies.

Likewise, the Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team was able to accommodate up to 938 patients in quake-hit Turkey. —LBG, GMA Integrated News
