CAAP lauds Roxas Airport workers for returning lost items to passengers

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) lauded workers at the Roxas City Airport for returning several valuable items passengers had misplaced.

Among the items returned was a sling bag containing P200,000 in cash, medicines, and important documents which belonged to a former Capiz Governor.

"The passenger had already departed to Manila onboard flight 5J 374 when it was found by Cebu Pacific employees Roque Arcenio and Victor Aragon and was endorsed to the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) personnel who then asked assistance from PNP-AVSEU," CAAP said.

"The sling bag was turned over to the representative of the owner," it added.

CSIS personnel also recovered baggage that passengers had mistakenly left at the airport's arrival area.

The CSIS personnel identified the baggage owners and the items were returned soon after.

CAAP Director General Manuel Antonio Tamayo commended the men and women of the Roxas Airport for their admirable acts of honesty in the line of duty. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
