CAAP warns public vs. unscrupulous individuals soliciting cash, goods

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Friday warned the public against unscrupulous individuals posing as their personnel to solicit cash and goods.

The CAAP issued the warning after receiving several reports that unscrupulous individuals were using CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo's name and giving out false bank information to solicit money.

“The authority does not tolerate these acts and urges the public to report to our office any activities relating to the above so that appropriate criminal charges may be filed against them. We further urge the public to remain vigilant,” the agency said in a statement.

It added that all communication from the agency and its personnel shall only be done through official channels.—Richa Noriega/AOL, GMA Integrated News
