DOH records 176 new COVID-19 cases; active tally at 9,120
The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday recorded 176 new COVID-19 infections, while the number of active cases went down to 9,120.
The new cases brought the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 4,082,580, while the active tally dropped from 9,680 on Tuesday.
The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases, with 948 in the past two weeks. It was followed by the Davao Region with 389 cases, Northern Mindanao with 370, Calabarzon with 299, and Soccsksargen with 168.
Total recoveries stood at 4,007,064 while the death toll rose to 66,396 with six new fatalities.
The data also showed that 3,718 beds were occupied, while 20,401 were vacant, for a national bed occupancy rate of 15.4% as of Tuesday.
A total of 6,046 individuals were tested on Tuesday, while 324 testing laboratories submitted data. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
