Marcos says he and British PM Sunak talked of ‘proper trip to UK’

LABUAN BAJO —President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said he and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak talked about him going on a "proper trip to the UK."

Marcos made the remark after he was asked if he met Sunak in London, where he attended the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla over the weekend.

He said Sunak wanted to discuss a proposal for an airport from a conglomerate.

"Sabi niya, sana matuloy natin, let’s talk about it, ‘yung ganyan-ganyan. And we won’t be able to do it now because we had maybe seven minutes, six minutes," Marcos said of his interaction with the British leader.

"We can’t do it now but we’ll do a proper trip for you to come to the UK and we’ll talk about it soon. That’s where we ended," he added. —NB, GMA Integrated News
