Grand Lotto jackpot winner of P29.7 million bought ticket at Pagsanjan market

The lone winner of the P29.7-million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot prize on Wednesday, July 12, bought the winning ticket in Pagsanjan, Laguna.

According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the ticket with with the winning combination 19-32-25-12-17-36 was bought at the Pagsanjan Public Market in Barangay Biñan.

There were no winners of the Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot prize on Friday, July 14.

The combination 15-37-02-48-22-51 would have won for a bettor P49,500,000.

There were also no winners for the Megalotto 6/45 jackpot prize.

The combination 43-12-08-41-15-16 would have won for a bettor P36,918,981.

The winner of the Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot prize on July 5 bought the winning ticket in Asinan, Bugallon, Pangasinan.

The winner won P58,983,172.00 with the winning combination 05-01-27-26-44-11.

Two winners on June 11

A bettor in Caloocan City who asked her husband to rush to the nearest lotto outlet to buy a ticket before it closed was one of two winners of the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot on June 11.

According to a post on the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's Facebook page, the other winner of the jackpot was a Makati City bettor who already won several second prizes in the lotto.

The two Super Lotto 6/49 winners on June 11 split the jackpot prize of P15,840,000 with the combination 18-29-21-48-10-08.

"Sabi ko sa asawa ko na kahit anung numero na lang basta ihabol mo. Tapos tumama pa pala kami ng jackpot,” the winner from Caloocan said.

(I told my husband to bet choose any combination as long as we can have a ticket. It turns out we hit the jackpot.)

"Lagi ko sinasabi sa mga treasurer ng PCSO na babalik ako one day, yung jackpot naman ang aking babalikan. Nagkatotoo nga!” the winner from Makati said.

(I always told the treasurers of PCSO that I would return one day with the jackpot as my prize. And it came true.)

Confidentiality

PCSO general manafer Mel Robles gave the checks to the jackpot winners on June 14 at the PCSO main office.

The agency guarantees confidentiality for the safety and security of all winners.

There were no jackpot winners for the Lotto 6/42 and Super Lotto 6/49 draws on Thursday.

The combination 14-38-36-10-02-13 would have won for a Lotto 6/42 bettor P6,389,050.

The combination 08-45-30-15-27-44 would have won for a Super Lotto 6/49 bettor P53,596,216.20. 

Dos and Don'ts

The PCSO has shared some dos and don’ts in claiming the jackpot prize.

Interviewed on GMA Integrated News’ Unang Hirit, PCSO senior marketing specialist Romi Sison said jackpot winners should go to the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong with the winning ticket and two valid IDs to claim the prize.

If the winning ticket is lost, Sison said the prize cannot be claimed.

The validity of a winning ticket only lasts up to one year, according to Sison.

She reminded bettors to keep tickets pristine as winning tickets should pass a validating machine. If the ticket got wet, crumpled, or defaced, the machine will not be able to read the number combination and serial number, and thus the winner will not be able to claim the prize.

Sison also advised bettors should immediately sign their ticket upon purchase. Only the person who signed the winning ticket can claim the prize.

In case the winner is unable to claim the prize due to health reasons, his or her representative should present a special power of attorney to claim the prize.

Asked if the PCSO assists winners in terms of financial management, Sison said winners undergo orientation on best options in handling their money right after claiming the prize.

“Kapag nag-claim po sila ng premyo, pinagsasabihan po sila kung ano po kung saan magandang dalhin ang pera, kung ano po ang dapat gawin,” she said.
