ACT Teachers party-list solon France Castro to run for senator

ACT Teachers partylist Rep. France Castro on Wednesday indicated that she would run for senator in Eleksyon 2025.

“Tinatangap ko po ang hamon,” the lawmaker said during the 42nd anniversary celebration of the teachers’ group.

Castro is one of the leaders of the opposition in the House of Representatives as a deputy minority leader.

She has filed several bills to further the interests of public school teachers and government employees.

Castro is also one of the authors of Republic Act No.11985 or the law on the protection and welfare of caregivers in their profession.

The Philippine will hold its midterm elections on May 12, 2025. —NB, GMA Integrated News
