SLSU-Lucban grad tops May 2025 Philippine nurses licensure exam

A graduate of the Southern Luzon State University in Lucban (SLSU) achieved the highest score in the Philippine nurses licensure examination held earlier this month.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 6,935 out of 10,770 test takers passed the exam, given by the Board of Nursing at 18 test centers across the Philippines on May 5 and 6.

"The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of his/her liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations," the PRC said.

Angelica Ferrer Dator of SLSU-Lucban—formerly Southern Luzon Polytechnic College (SLPC)— was the highest scorer with a 90.00% result.

The top performing school with 100 or more test takers was the University of Pangasinan, with 354 of its 357 examinees passing, while the top performing schools with 50 to 99 test takers were SLSU-Lucban, Eastern Samar State University-Borongan, and Universidad de Zamboanga-Pagadian (for Mendero College), all of which achieved 100% passing rates.
