Your Say: In the aftermath of the RH Bill

An immoral bill will always remain immoral and can not be accepted by true followers of Christ. There is no compromise with an evil law with a sugar coat name of Reproductive Health.Health of body starts with health of soul.  "Seek first the Kingdom of God and all good things will be added unto you," says the Lord.  These proud men and women of RH trust in their intelligence more than the guidance of the owner of intellect, God Himself. They immortalize their part in this dark side of Philippine history.  

So you think it's immoral to allow birth control like condoms ha? Because your church tells you so. But you think it's moral for people who follow those rules to end up with 10 kids they can't afford? Small children running around with no clothes and big bellies from malnutrition because god "blessed" them with 10 kids?

 

I used to be Catholic and I still can't believe any person who can THINK would accept that god wants as many people as possible no matter what. If using a condom is "against god's plan" then what about medicine? Surgery? Isn't THAT against god's plan? After all, if god wants you to survive an illness or disease, you should just pray about it right?

The Catholic Church has no monopoly of what morality is.  What has she done to educate the flock?  Why did most Catholics vote for RH Bill?  What help does the church provide to the poor; families with 10 children eating one meal a day, no education?  Even to middle income families that can afford to support 10 children, how can parents divide their time raising the children?  Is it quality time?  Do the children grow up with moral values?

This is so simple... Let Catholics be catholic and the rest be, well be themselves. What I am trying to say is that at the end of the day this is still a personal decision. You cannot decide what is good for me and I cannot decide what is good for you. Even the experts cannot decide what is good for me, the most that they can do is suggest. If I don't like using artificial birth control you cannot force it on me and I cannot force you not to use them. We have different values, morals and standards, if I choose to stick to them please respect them and I will respect yours. The point is, this is about choice... nobody is preventing us from doing what we want, but we should not prevent others from what they want as well. I hate to say this but maybe my mother church is afraid of how much hard work we have to put into safeguarding the church teachings and morals. As we are living in the modern era we have to embrace the trials that it brings. Instead of wasting our effort and time to prevent this bill (as this will happen whether we like or not), we should focus on ways to how we can effectively safeguard the church's values. Just remember the greater the adversity the greater the SUCCESS. 

Salamat sa mga bumotong Kongresista at Senador na pabor sa RH Bill. Nawa'y masagot nito ang walang katapusang sumpa ng kahirapan sa sambayanan. At para sa mga hindi pabor, sana'y huwag mayamot at magmutawi ng masama sa kapwa na pabor dito.

Some Catholic cardinals like Belgian Cardinal Emeritus Godfried Danneels believe the Catholic Church should support condoms used to prevent serious diseases such as AIDS because non-use is tantamount to murder. 

For the first time and it can be said, all our children and young adults will have an excuse for free sex.  They will be protected by the RH Law. So better start watching your children, they may have sex with their partners any time, anywhere and anyhow. Don't blame and scold them.  Wow corrupt officials now computing how much they can get from the millions of budget for condoms, IUD etc etc.  Fiesta again indeed instead of alloting the budget for better education, to lessen criminality and poverty etc etc...

How will these children and future generations be misguided?

 

If they will be... Then it's the parents' fault not the govt. Not society. Ikaw na mag lalabas ng bagong buhay sa mundo ang may RESPONSIBILIDAD para ma palaki sila ng tama and GUIDE them accordingly. Ikaw ang mag explain sa mga anak mo pano intindihin ang mga bagay-bagay. Hindi ang gobyerno, hindi ang bansa.

 

Italy (Rome) where the Vatican resides, may RH Bill and bansang iyon, and Spain the country that invaded and spread Roman Catholicism in the Philippines also has an RH bill.

 

Itong mga bansang ito, sila meron, tayo mag papahuli? Kaya tayo di ma alis alis sa kahirapan, it all boils down to overpopulation. Mas kasalanan sa Dyos at sa lipunan na mag lalabas ka ng sanggol sa mundo ng di kaya itong alagaan, palakihin at bigyan ng edukasyon para maka kuha ng magandang kinabukasan. Pwede ba?!?

It's a wake up call for the Catholic Church and the Bishops.  What went 

wrong?  Why did the lawmakers vote for RH Bill?  Why are the majority of

Catholics in favor the RH Bill?  The Bishops now blame Malacañang 

for blackmailing the lawmakers with pork barrel.  But why did they not 

blame Gloria Arroyo when she used huge funds including pork barrel to 

bribe the congressmen to block her impeachment.  The Bishops then

were silent.

 

The Catholic Church should instead examine herself 

because she was not able to educate her flock.  Why have Catholics

become so disobedient? The church should rethink if indeed she's

doing the job of taking care of the flock.

 

The Catholic Church tried her best to present the reason why contraception is not good for the Filipino people. The Church does not have nuclear weapon, or tanks. She does not intend to harm anyone, her intention is for the good of Filipinos. When it comes to faith and morals the Church speaks, for she is the Authority. But the Church only proposes and does not impose.

Good.  Then obey your catholic priests and bishops.  The RH bill does not force you into doing what your religious conscience does not permit you to do.  In the meantime, the PHL government is not a government subservient to one or any religious sect.  

 

Now that the RH bill has been correctly passed, let your catholic priests and bishops do what they should have done with vigor a long time ago and that is, promote their form of responsible parenthood so that their members see no need for artificial birth control methods.

Kahit papaano ang gobyerno natin ay hindi na nakadikit sa simbahan...may pagkakataong umangat ang Pilipinas ngayon! Hindi na tayo tulad ng dati na para bang sunod-sunuran sa lahat ng sabhin ng Simbahan. Panahon na upang magdesisyon para sa kapakanan ng nakakarami....hindi ibig sabhin hindi ko mahal ang relihiyon ko..ibig sabhin ko lang..what's best for the people must be prioritized rather than the best for only a few people...Mas kailangan ito ng bansa kaysa magpakabanal tau ngaun..no one's gonna be a perfect and holistic country...dahil may mga polisiya rin taung labag sa simbahang katoliko

This is historic because for the very first time, the  majority of the Representatives and the Senators were not influenced and intimidated by the Catholic church and clergy.

si inaraw-araw ng buhay mo, napakarami nang kapitalista ang nakikinabang sa bawat pisong pinaghirapan mong kitain. maipasa man ang batas na ito o kung kumita man ang contraceptives manufacturer, marami pang ibang kapitalista ang nakikinabang sa'yo.

 

hindi mo rin ba naisip, na mas lalong nakikinabang ang mga kapitalista kapag mas lalo pang lumolobo ang populasyon? sila lang naman talaga ang nakikinabang. pero sa pagkakapasa ng bill na ito, pagkatalo naman ito para sa kanila. 

 

napaka-"gandang" argument ng isang anti-RH advocate yung liliit ang kita ng gobyerno dahil kung sa 1 milyong sanggol na ipapanganak, kikita raw ang gobyerno sa taxes na nilalagay sa bawat diapers na gagamitin ng bawat sanggol na ito. kaya NO to RH bill daw kasi sayang yung kikitain ng gobyerno.....so ano ba ang tingin niyo sa mga sanggol na ipinanganganak sa bansa natin, source of income lang?! napaka-unethical. ipinanganak sila sa mundo para pagtuunan ng ating pansin at pangalagaan, HINDI PARA PAGKAKITAAN!!!
