NDRRMC: Missing fisherman rescued off Eastern Samar

A fisherman who was reported missing off Eastern Samar last Thursday was rescued Saturday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Sunday. The NDRRMC's 6 a.m. report identified the fisherman as Julio Yape, 40, who was reported missing at 4 p.m. Thursday. Yape was last seen at 9 a.m. Friday and was rescued by a fellow fisherman at the coast of Maydolong Bay in Eastern Samar at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. He was brought home at 7 a.m. Saturday, the NDRRMC said. — LBG, GMA News
