A tire explosion of a small four-seater plane forced the brief closure of the runway of the Mactan International Airport in Cebu province Saturday afternoon.
The three Korean passengers and pilot of the Cessna four-seater were unhurt, radio dzBB reported early Sunday.
An initial investigation showed the tire of the Cessna burst shortly after it landed, dzBB's Cecilia Villarosa reported.
This prompted the closure of the runway at 4:46 p.m. However, the runway resumed normal operations at 5 p.m. after the plane was removed from the area. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
