NGCP: 10-hr power interruption in parts of Nueva Ecija

Parts of Nueva Ecija may expect a power interruption lasting up to 10 hours on Wednesday, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said.

In an advisory on Monday, the NGCP said this is due to the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities there.

It said the power interruption is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and may affect:

- Nueva Ecija II Electric Cooperative, Inc. Area 2  (NEECO II-Area 2)
- Nueva Ecija I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEECO I)

Affected areas include Sta. Rosa, San Leonardo, Penaranda, Gen Tinio, Fort Magsaysay, San Isidro, Gapan, San Antonio, Jaen, and Cabiao in Nueva Ecija.

Also, the NGCP said the power outage schedule is to facilitate annual preventive maintenance of power transformer and its associated equipment at Cabanatuan City substation; replacement of revenue potential transformer at NEECO I-San Isidro’s metering point; and maintenance works along Cabanatuan-San Isidro line 69kV line 1 and 2. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
