Tawi-Tawi docked cargo ship catches fire

There were fortunately no casualties when a wooden cargo vessel docked at the Bongao, Tawi-Tawi pier caught fire, GMA 7 news program "Saksi" reported on Wednesday.

The fire began in the ship's main engine room, and lasted about three hours.

Philippine Coastguardsmen, military units, and local firefighters worked together to put the fire out.

Investigators where still attempting to determine the fire's cause. — DVM, GMA News
