Male drug suspect killed in Bacoor, Cavite after allegedly firing at cops

A male suspect was killed by police in Bacoor, Cavite after allegedly opening fire at authorities who were serving a search warrant against him.

According to a report by Bam Alegre on Unang Balita on Friday, the suspect was identified as Jay-jay Mercado who is allegedly involved in illegal drugs and illegal possession of firearms.

Police said Mercado opened fire just as they were knocking on the door of his home, forcing them to return fire at the suspect.

Mercado's wife tried to convince him to surrender but he failed to heed her call.
