9 students hurt after covered court collapsed in Zamboanga City school

Nine students were injured on Monday after a school's covered court collapsed in Zamboanga City.

The victims were Grade 7 and 9 students of Sinubong National High School, Police Regional Office 9 spokesperson Police Major Helen Galvez said, according to a report by Mark Makalalad on Dobol B sa News TV.

The accident happened at 8:30 a.m.

The victims have been rushed to the Labuan Public Hospital.

Based on initial probe, police said the covered court could have collapsed after too much water was stored due to heavy rains in the area on Sunday night.
