Cotabato cops arrest couple, seize P1.2-M worth of shabu

Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) narcotics officers and other government agents arrested couple Jomar and Noraisa Sampulna and seized 175 grams of shabu worth P1.2 million during a Cotabato operation, the Philippine National Police revealed in a Saturday statement.

According to PRO 12 Director Police Brigadier General Alfred Sotto Corpus, the suspects were former residents of Barangay Olandang in Cotabato's Midsayap town, and that they had been surveilled for alleged illegal-drugs activities.

Aside from the shabu, narcotics officers also seized P27,700 in cash. — Angelica Y. Yang/DVM, GMA News
