According to a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday, the members of the group Guardians of the Fur patrolled the areas in Batangas affected by the ashfall and noticed that there were a lot of animals left alone to fend for themselves after their owners evacuated to safer places.

The animal welfare advocates rescued a total of 20 dogs and two rabbits in Talisay, Batangas where forced evacuation has been implemented by the local government.

The Guardians of the Fur said that they will continue to save more animals in the affected areas. —Dona Magsino/KBK, GMA News
