A vlogger from Cagayan de Oro City will be facing charges for asking his viewers to leave their homes amid the city-wide community quarantine to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease.
According to a 24 Oras report by Tina Panganiban Perez on Monday, “The Wonder Boy” Antonio Bonitos posted a vlog on April 16 enjoining his viewers to go outside their homes to enjoy the summer.
“Summer na ngayon, walang hiyang lockdown lockdown na ‘yan. Guys, tara, maligo tayo!” he said.
His video also caught several other people swimming at the sea amid the quarantine.
The CDO Regulatory Compliance Board went to the vlogger’s home to speak to him about the video.
Bonitos said he did not expect that many people would see his vlog.
Stay at home lang tayo, guys,” he said.
The board is now readying charges to be filed against Bonitos.
“Nasa public health crisis tayo ngayon.
—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
