Baguio City Mayor advises consideration of 4Cs in COVID-19 plan

Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong on Friday advised concerned authorities to consider "4Cs" or coordination, cooperation, collaboration, and communication when coming up with a plan against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The city was earlier hailed as a model city for managing to keep its COVID-19 cases low.

"If based on the aspect of crisis management, you have to predict, you have to prepare, you have to prevent, you have to contain, you have to mitigate, and finally come up with your recovery and exit plan kasi importante 'yung may plano ka," Magalong said in a report on Stand for Truth.

"In coming up with a plan, you have to consider four Cs. One is coordination, cooperation, collaboration, and finally communication," he added.

The city has implemented a 24-hour curfew, market scheduling, one quarantine pass per household, and residents must wear face masks when leaving the house.

"We've never experienced this kind of situation before, so ang ginawa natin is we came up with a new plan," Magalong said.

As of April 2020, there are six COVID-19 cases and 11 recoveries. From March 28 to April 9 there were no reported COVID-19 cases in the city. -- Joahna Lei Casilao/BAP, GMA News
