CCTV footage in killing of lawyer, husband in Davao City now with authorities — PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said authorities have already obtained CCTV footage that could help in the investigation on the killing of a lawyer and her husband in Davao City.

In a statement, the PNP said it is considering the land dispute cases handled by the victims as one of the possible motives of the crime.

“The Davao City police said they are looking at all possible angles for the crime, including the cases on land disputes which were handled by the victims,” the PNP said.

“Authorities already obtained a CCTV footage which could be of help in the investigation,” it added.

PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar ordered the Police Regional Office 11 to conduct a thorough probe into the killing of a lawyer and her husband in Davao City.

He said authorities are already working to determine the motive of the crime and identify the perpetrators.

“Nagbigay na ako ng kautusan sa Regional Director ng PRO XI, Police Brigadier General Filmore Escobal, na tutukan ang kasong ito at patuloy akong bigyan ng updates sa progreso ng imbestigasyon,” he said.
