The PDRRMO official said that a lot of trees and electric posts fell on the roads due to Odette’s onslaught.

He also appealed for relief goods and assistance to be distributed to affected residents in the province.

“We are asking for ready to eat food like canned goods, biscuits, noodles, and specifically water because water pumping stations are not functioning due to lack of power. We need water to distribute for children and lactating mothers, and senior citizens as well,” he added.

Residents who were trapped on roofs were rescued, while several establishments were severely destroyed due to the massive flooding.

PAGASA said the typhoon exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. — VBL, GMA News
