Baguio to administer COVID-19 booster vax jabs to tourists Jan. 31-Feb. 5

The city government of Baguio City announced it would administer COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to tourists from January 31 to February 5, 2022.

The vaccination will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following venues, according to a report on GMA's Unang Balita on Monday:

At the vaccination site, those who will get vaccinated need to show the QR code from the Baguio local government unit, valid ID, and vaccination card or certificate showing the last dose administered.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong on Friday said they are now seeing a "plateauing" of COVID-19 cases in the city and are expecting a downward trend in February.

Magalong also said Baguio City already has a 122% vaccination rate for those who received their first dose, and around 110% for who had their second dose. The eligible population is at 70%.

Around 72,000 Baguio City residents have already received their booster shots as of Friday. —KG, GMA News
